What is the Space of life?

What is the space of life? This is the question that many have pondered since time immemorial. In fact the beginning of the universe was nothing more than just a spark of light. Thus, all that we know about the universe are only theories based on observation and experience. The only true way to know about the space of life is through scientific research.

What is the space of life

The Museum of Life in Toronto houses some of the most astounding specimens from around the world. These life-bearing organisms come from all corners of the earth and from diverse environments ranging from geothermal pools in Iceland, to shark-infested waters off the coast of Brazil, to the deepest parts of the ocean. In this unique collection, what is found could be a description of what we actually look like, perhaps even hints of what might be. The museum itself displays many live examples of life which could be preserved or discovered long ago by humankind.

In the mid nineteen hundreds, a research scientist name Dridson Alexander Smith made the startling claim that there is a great deal more to life than we can observe with the naked eye. His ideas have been passionately embraced by nearly every leading biologist in the world. He had completed a course at Harvard University called the Science of Being Born. His thesis was that all living cells contain DNA which contains instructions for their development and function. These genetic instructions give rise to biological individuality, the uniqueness of each individual cell, which is the key to a concept known as species.

The concept of species was first posed by Darwin, an English scientist who lived in England in the early 1800’s. According to his theory, all living matter on the planet was related to one another. Species would arise as a result of the mutual selection of environment and chance. Subsequent species would survive thanks to reproductive ability, and when a particular species’ number diminishes, it dies off. Life then comes to an end and is replaced by the evolution of new life forms.

In the beginning, everything that was created by the Earth was created as a single cell. This theory also explains why all living matter on the planet earth has remained unbroken for countless years. It also explains how all life on the planet earth could have come about as a result of chance and genetics. It therefore goes without saying that what is the space of life could also have been the product of chance and genetics, combined with the perfection of the Earth in the pre-formation era of creation.

The question “what is the space of life” still remains unanswered today. Scientists are however working on ways to look for life outside the Earth, and on distant planets in the outer solar system. NASA and other scientific agencies are spending billions of dollars each year on researching the origins of life on Earth and on the nature of celestial bodies in our universe. Hopefully they will be successful in their quest to answer this question.
